FEBRUARY 2023 |
Welcome to the PaRD Newsletter |
Dear Reader,
This new year 2023 is already in full swing. We hope you had a good start! We would like to take this opportunity not only to look into the future but also back at two highlights in 2022 for PaRD: the successful holding of PaRD's Annual Forum on Religion and Sustainable Development 2022 in Bali and the admission of the Indonesian Government, represented by the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA), as a new governmental member of PaRD.
In 2023 we are already reaping the fruits of the seeds from last year. Last year eleven projects of PaRD members were supported worldwide, which contributed directly to the SDGs. Throughout the year we will share impressions, reports and media coverage of these projects, starting with a report on the workshop on empowering male champions on gender equality in Malawi, organised mainly by the the All Africa Conference of Churches (AACC), and a report on "The Impact of Covid-19 on Religious and Social Inequalities" by Bargad Organisation for Youth Development. We are also looking forward to important events such as the PaRD Leadership Meeting in March or CSW 67, on the sidelines of which the PaRD Gender Equality and Empowerment Work-Stream members will hold an in-person meeting. For more events to look forward to in 2023 scroll down to our event section.
Thank you and enjoy reading! |
